Let me tell you; teleporting is weird. I didn't really feel all there at first; it made my skin crawl. "Ugh...where are we?" I asked, still groggy from the whole scenario "we're near the long island Pokéuman base." Said the Beheeyem that had rescued me from a kidnapper's truck, "long island? Isn't that a place in New York or something?" "Yep" I was amazed; I had gone from California to New York in less than two seconds (That's 2415 miles, BTW).
"Wow. Uh, just who are you anyway?"
"Name's Ben"
"Like...?"
"No relation." he said coldly, Ben had apparently heard all the jokes. He led me to a boulder and flashed a color sequence on his hand. The boulder slid aside to reveal a hatch door like the kind on a submarine. The valve started glowing and turning, I had figured it out by now; Ben was using his psychic powers. "Why is it turning right instead of left?" I asked, "Clever, huh? It's reversed to confuse people." The hatch opened, "Welcome to the world of Pokéumans." We-I climbed down a ladder, Ben floated, I was amazed at what I saw next; though a window I saw, well...Pokémon...Lots of Pokémon. They were carrying books, papers, and other things, like they were at school. Ben chuckled, "yea, I remember my first time down here..." he looked like he was lost in the memories for a second, "Right. Let's get you to headmistress Asula's office." I didn't ask any questions; I was busy looking at my arm. In the better light I could see my skin had turned a greeny-blue color. Guess what I saw in the mirror back at my house was just stage one. We arrived at the absolute HUGEST door I've ever seen! It had what looked a stained glass window of every Pokémon in existence on it; trying to find a Pokémon I didn't recognize was like trying to find Waldo. Ben knocked, the Pokéball-shaped doorknobs turned, and the door opened magnificently; it was like something out of a movie. Inside there was a Milotic at a desk (Probably female because she had long hair or whatever those pink bits were) with...robot arms? They were like the kind on dr. octopus, or inspector gadget. They were connected to a ring she was wearing around her neck. "Hello Ben, this must be..." at least she sounded like a nice fish...serpent...lady, "I-I'm Paul." I said, I'm not exactly comfortable with talking to someone I didn't know. And the fact that I was only wearing a dark red nightshirt and black sweat pants didn't help either. "It's nice to meet you, Paul. I'm Ms. Asula. Have a seat." She gestured to two chairs in front of her desk; I sat down while Ben kept floating. Asula must have notice my worried expression, "you must be very confused right now," she said, "but this should hopefully answer most of your questions." She pressed a button on her computer's keyboard and turned the screen towards me while Ben dimmed the lights; guess it was movie night. The screen showed the earth just after the dinosaurs went extinct, but before humans walked it. Apparently, Pokémon were there right in between those times. Pokémon were more advanced than people are today. When the humans first showed up, Pokémon were cautious around them but saw that they weren't as advanced as them decided they would teach them. They made a rock that turned them into humans and helped to advance them; some even had families with humans. Then a singularity-type thing happened and the Pokémon were forced to leave to another dimension; erasing any and all trace of their existence along with essentially resetting the planet. Mew stayed behind to keep an eye on the humans, wearing many disguises. Skip forward to about 100 years ago. A scientist called Mr. X found a piece of mew's hair (yea, I had no idea mews had hair either) while in the jungle and, due to a scientific error, accidentally turned himself into a Mewtwo while an invisible DNA-altering cloud spread across the globe, turning children (usually in their teens) into their Pokémon ancestors. Mr. X created an evil organization called Pokéxtinction. Mew disguised himself as a Mr. Satoshe Tajari, the creator of the Pokémon games; he made the games for two reasons: so that people would be slightly aware of Pokémon, and if you were a Pokémon fan, there was a good chance you were a Pokéuman. Mew also founded the Pokéumans and established bases all over the world. After the movie I was a bit shaken up. The video said that Pokéxtinction made an exact copy of whoever they captured to cover up their tracks; I could never return. I would never see my friends...or my family...ever again...I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, and I head in my hands. I thought I knew what sadness was until now; it was like I didn't exist anymore and no one would notice. I must have sat there crying for a whole minute before I felt metal around me; I looked up and saw that Asula had her robot arms around me. "I know. We've all lost a lot. You can have a new life here. A chance to restart." She said, sympathetically. I looked down at my green-blue hand, and I swore to myself that Mr. X will pay for what he has done. "Thank you...I needed that..." I said as Asula released me, "you're welcome." Said Asula, she picked up a piece of paper from her desk and handed it to me. It looked like a high school schedule. Great.

"How'd you know I was turning into a Ditto?" I asked, I was also curious about the blank spots, but that really wasn't important at the time, "I have an eye for these things." Said Asula, winking, "come on, I'll show you to your room" said Ben as I got out of my seat. I didn't say anything for a while, but I remembered something as we-I was walking, "hey, why are we walking when you can use teleport?" I asked, Ben looked at me over his shoulder, "If I teleported you, I wouldn't be able to show you the way there." I saw his point and started paying more attention to the surroundings...not so much to where I was going, though; I nearly cut myself on a Bisharp's blades (they're not called Bisharp for nothing.), almost stepped on a Joltik, and nearly burned my hand on a Magcargo's shell. Why do some Pokémon have to be so darn deadly!? We stopped at a door with the number 178 on it. Ben put his hand on the door and it slid open with barley a sound, but he fixed that real quick, "Yo Sam, you got a new roommate!" there was a groan from the top of a bunk bed in the room. A shape rose from under the covers, ribbing its eyes tiredly; a Sawk wearing a karate robe (I mean the regular kind, not the light-blue ones they normally wear). "What's the big idea waking me up in the middle of the night, man?" he said, annoyed. "Like I said, you've got a new roommate." Ben patted me on the back and promptly left the room, closing the door behind him, leaving me to sort things out, "um...hi...?" I said, nervous as ever, "hmph, whatever. Just pick a bed and go to sleep." Said the Sawk (who was obviously Sam); he then went back under his blanket and went back to enjoying whatever dream he was having. I looked at the bed across from his, another bunk bed, I started to climb the ladder up, but then a factoid popped into my head; "When DITTO sleeps, it changes into a stone to avoid being attacked." I climbed back down the ladder and got under Sam's bunk. "At least I'm already in my pajamas..." I thought as I closed my eyes, wondering what lied ahead.
